In The New Nurses Season 2, the experiment at a Danish hospital continues in which male students train as nurses alongside their female counterparts. It’s the early 1950s, however, and not everyone is pleased with the program: two old-school staff members – the chief physician and the head nurse – make life miserable for the young students. Erik, Anna and the other trainees want to make a difference, but they are up against the rigid hospital rules, prejudices, and old conventions. Despite busy schedules and rule breaking, emotions flourish among the students, who go on their nights off to the jazz club or hold discreet parties in their dorm rooms.
